While digital-first strategies can enhance efficiency and streamline service delivery, it can also inadvertently marginalise significant segments of the population including people with disabilities, limited digital skills or low access to technology.
The question then arises: how can we ensure that the push for digital adoption does not exacerbate existing inequalities or create new barriers for vulnerable customers – and that firms are delivering fair treatment for all customers in compliance with regulations.
